The Buddhist dance is performed every year on 8 May; it is the one day the temple is busiest, so arrive early.
From JR Matsunoodera Station on the Obama Line it is about a 40-minute walk following the Kinki Nature Trail signs; by car it is about 10 minutes west of the station.
