The Story Behind Goshuin
Goshuin was created by David Dias, an independent developer and traveler based in Toronto. While traveling across Japan, David became fascinated by how each goshuin connects a visit with the history, artistry, and spiritual life of a particular temple or shrine.
He began building Goshuin to make reliable information easier to find, help people approach each visit with more context, and give collectors a thoughtful way to keep their own records and memories. The project continues to grow through research, careful data work, and contributions from travelers and collectors.
