Many pilgrims make a thanksgiving return visit (orei mairi) to Ryōzen-ji after completing all 88 temples, so plan time for a final stop if doing the full route.
If you're starting the Shikoku 88-temple pilgrimage, begin at Ryōzen-ji and buy traditional white robes and pilgrimage supplies on site.
