Konsen-ji is Temple No. 3 on the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage, in Itano, Tokushima.
Benkei, the legendary warrior monk, supposedly lifted a massive stone here to demonstrate his superhuman strength to Minamoto Yoshitsune before their battle against the Heike clan in 1185. The stone still sits on the temple grounds today.
