Motoyama-ji has a five-storied pagoda, one of only four such pagodas on the Shikoku Pilgrimage route.
Only four temples on the entire 88-temple Shikoku Pilgrimage have five-storied pagodas. Motoyama-ji's pagoda was rebuilt in 1910 after the original from 950 AD suffered severe damage.
