Goshoji is a Buddhist temple in Utazu, Kagawa, and the 78th sacred site on the Shikoku Henro pilgrimage. Set on a small hill overlooking the Seto Inland Sea, it is known locally as Yakuyoke Utazu Daishi and for its long history linked to Gyoki and Kobo Daishi.

Gosho-ji is the 78th sacred site on the Shikoku Henro, Japan's famous 88-temple pilgrimage.

Kobo Daishi carved a wooden statue of himself at this temple in 807 while making a vow to ward off evil. Locals still worship it today as the 'Yakuyoke Utazu Daishi' (Evil-Warding Daishi).
