Katsuo-ji

Katsuō-ji (勝尾寺), officially Ocho-san Katsuō-ji (応頂山 勝尾寺), is a Buddhist temple in Minoh, Osaka Prefecture. It belongs to the Kōyasan Shingon-shū and its main image is Senjū Jūichimen Kannon Bosatsu. The temple is known as the 23rd stop on the Saigoku Kannon Pilgrimage, one of Japan’s major Kannon temple routes. Its precincts, including an intact set of boundary markers, were designated a National Historic Site of Japan in 1966. The temple reflects the religious culture of Kannon devotion and pilgrimage in western Japan.
