You can reach Kameido Tenjinsha on foot from Kameido Station, though it is a bit of a walk, and bus service is said to be infrequent. The grounds are calm and easy to stroll, with a pond, stone or arched bridge, and views of Tokyo Skytree, so it works well for a quiet visit rather than a rushed stop.
It is best known for wisteria, and the wisteria festival in bloom season draws heavy crowds, especially around Golden Week. Evening visits can be especially atmospheric because of the lights. You will also see the pond area with many turtles and a sacred cow statue where visitors rub the head for wishes.
