Really big temple, huge even. I love it here, it’s very quiet. Bring some cash so you can see the 500 statues!

Couldn’t snag a Goshuin. I should wake up earlier for pilgrimage. This is a really pretty temple regardless

The architecture is lovely. There’s a separate spot on the other end of the street with a koi pond and a lot of historical text. Definitely recommend.

One of my favorites. The burial spot of the most famous ninja. Yotsuya is super quiet and peaceful. Just be careful, getting here takes walking up a lot of hills

The lantern festival is super pretty! But if you’re not into big crowds I’d step keep away or admire from a distance

Nice atmosphere. Visited during a festival. Packed but definitely worth it.

We climbed the steps in the back without realizing there’s a giant escalator in the front. It’s okay! We win these. Too many people though.

Massive. Plenty of history and stuff to look at. This shrine has aura. Most famous shrine in Tokyo

Small, and it has a strange architecture. Bhudda temple with enshrined Shinto Kami. LOTS of cool Goshuin to choose from. Next to a lovely pond and a nice park.
