Taiyū-ji

You can reach this temple easily on foot from Osaka Station or Umeda Station, and it sits right in the middle of the city. The grounds are quiet despite the location, so it works well as a short stop between shopping or sightseeing. Goshuin are available at the reception office from 8:00 to 16:30, with earlier opening on some monthly festival days.

Inside, look for the main hall, the impressive Fudo statue, and several small shrines and memorials scattered through the compact grounds. Visitors also note the dry landscape garden behind the main hall and the grave of Yodo-dono.
