The temple's front gate features frog leg struts decorated with the Ashikaga clan family crest, a rare architectural detail dating back to 1333-1392.

During 1936 reconstruction work, workers discovered hidden sutra scrolls and other items tucked inside the treasure pagoda's roof finial, where they had been concealed for centuries.
