Hosen-ji, also known by its mountain name Seikazan, is a Soto Zen temple at 3-8-1 Higashimukojima in Tokyo's Sumida ward. Its official history traces its founding to Kasai Saburo Kiyoshige about 800 years ago, for memorial services for his parents; it does not give an exact founding year. The temple records a rebuilding in 1532 by Taishu Anju of Kichijo-ji.
The temple preserves a stone standing Jizo dated 1662 and a bronze standing Jizo dated 1717. Jizo is the Buddhist bodhisattva Kshitigarbha. Both are listed among Sumida's registered cultural properties. It also holds medieval memorial tablets dated between 1347 and 1568; the official site identifies these tablets as not open to the public.
The official access page gives an 8-minute walk from Higashimukojima Station on the Tobu Skytree Line. For car navigation it recommends Higashimukojima 3-12-6, while the temple's postal address remains 3-8-1. Opening hours, admission arrangements and goshuin desk hours or fees have not been confirmed.
