Sasuke Inari Jinja

Sasuke Inari Shrine sits in the forested hills of Kamakura, so wear comfortable shoes before you head up. It's a short walk from Zeniarai Benzaiten Ugafuku Shrine, and pairing the two makes for a natural half-day loop in this part of the hills.

The main draw is a tunnel of vermillion torii gates winding through the trees. It's genuinely atmospheric, especially when the light filters through the canopy, so bring your phone or camera. The path is quiet compared to central Kamakura, which makes the whole place feel a little removed from the crowds.
