Plan your visit from Gōtokuji Station on the Odakyu Line, where you can also transfer to the Setagaya Line at Yamashita Station. The station is small and clean, with one exit, and the walk to Gōtokuji Temple is straight ahead from the station area. It is an easy area to explore on foot, with local shops and cafes nearby.
The temple is known for its maneki-neko, and the station area has cat statues and cat motifs that draw many visitors. A stamp rally used to run here, but the stamps are still on site. Seasonal displays around the cat statue are also a regular sight, so the area feels lively year-round.
