Gotoku-ji Station and the surrounding area are filming locations from Makoto Shinkai's anime 'Your Name: 5 Centimeters per Second.' The streets look almost identical to scenes in the film.
Gotoku-ji is the birthplace of the maneki-neko (beckoning cat) tradition. Visitors today can see hundreds of white cat figurines left as offerings for good fortune.
