Rather than standing fully independent, Hiro Jinja is officially a subordinate shrine of Kumano Nachi Taisha.
For 100 yen, you can drink sacred longevity water from a dragon-topped fountain fed by Nachi Falls, believed to grant a long life according to ancient tradition.

The viewing platform (御瀧拝所舞台) sits at the far end of Hirou Shrine and requires a 300-yen admission fee paid at the shrine office. From there you get a nearly head-on view of Nachi Falls, which drops 130 meters and carries roughly one ton of water per second. The approach involves a short uphill path with stone steps, so wear shoes with grip. In wet weather the stone paving gets slippery, so take extra care.
There is no free public parking in the immediate area, so budget for a paid lot. The Nachisan Kanko Center large car park is a nearby option. Vending machines and restrooms are located in front of the torii gate before you enter.
