You can reach Honsen-ji in about a minute on foot from the east exit of Aomono-yokocho Station on the Keikyu Line, making it an easy stop without much navigation.
Just inside, look for the large seated Jizo statue near the entrance. It is one of the Edo Six Jizo, a set of figures historically linked to the old travel routes out of Edo, and it gives the temple its main draw.
Timing your visit around New Year or the September Shukuba Festival means you will catch special local ceremonies, though the neighborhood gets noticeably busier on those days. On an ordinary weekday the grounds are quiet and unhurried.
