Arrive knowing this is a working Zen temple, not a scenic garden. Keep your voice low and move quietly; monks and worshippers use the space daily.
Take a moment to sit and absorb the atmosphere rather than rushing through. The grounds reward patience more than a quick loop.
Bring a small amount of cash for any entrance fees or offerings, and dress modestly out of respect for the active religious community.
