Sasuke Inari Shrine sits in the forested hills of Kamakura, so wear comfortable shoes before you head up. It's a short walk from Zeniarai Benzaiten Ugafuku Shrine, and pairing the two makes for a natural half-day loop in this part of the hills.

The main draw is a tunnel of vermillion torii gates winding through the trees. It's genuinely atmospheric, especially when the light filters through the canopy, so bring your phone or camera.
