아사쿠사 후지 센겐 신사

The shrine's Fujizuka mound, built in the early 19th century, contains actual stones embedded from Mount Fuji itself. Edo-period commoners who couldn't afford the pilgrimage climbed this miniature peak for spiritual merit.

Asakusa Fuji Sengen Jinja는 후지산 신앙과 순례 전통을 중심으로 한 후지 신앙과 연결되어 있습니다.

The shrine was originally managed by a Buddhist temple until 1873, when the Meiji government's separation policy forced Asakusa Shrine to take over. It remains under Asakusa Shrine's care today.

During the plant market held on the last weekends of May and June, the shrine distributes Mugiwara Ja, traditional straw snake amulets that date back to the Edo period.
