Hyogo Prefecture is located in the Kansai region of western Japan, with coastlines on both the Sea of Japan and the Seto Inland Sea. Its capital, Kobe, is known as an international port city, and the prefecture also includes Himeji Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the hot spring area of Arima Onsen.
