Zentsu-ji는 구카이와 밀접한 관련이 있는 밀교 불교 종파인 진언종에 속합니다.

Two sacred camphor trees on the temple grounds are over 1,100 years old and were already towering here when Kukai founded the temple in 807.

Zentsuji is one of only three temples that Kukai mentioned by name in his own writings, making it historically significant beyond the 88-temple pilgrimage route he established.

The Mieido Hall has a pitch-dark underground tunnel called Kaidan Meguri where pilgrims walk in complete darkness to reach statues of the infant Kukai and his parents.
