Nariai-ji is a Shingon temple on Mount Nariai, overlooking Amanohashidate, one of Japan's Three Scenic Views. Founded in 704, it began as a mountain ascetic training site and remains known for Kannon devotion, its long-standing star rite, and the pilgrimage tradition of Sennin Mairi.
