Arrive with cash for parking and offerings, as the lot charges 700 yen per day and operates only from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shrine's location near the Uji River and Asagiri Bridge makes it accessible by train (about 9 minutes from Keihan Uji Station), which may be easier than driving if you're unfamiliar with the area.
Plan to visit on a weekday morning if you want to photograph the main hall and grounds without crowds. The shrine's peaceful setting among trees along the Uji River is best appreciated when you're not jostling with other visitors, and the light through the foliage is clearest earlier in the day.
If you collect goshuin (shrine stamps), note that the shrine offers five original goshuin books at 2,000 yen each in different colors, plus three additional stamp designs (shrine name, deity name, and rabbit motif) at 500 yen each.
Seek out the 'mikaeri usagi' (見返り兎) rabbit statue and the power spot deeper in the shrine grounds. These aren't prominently marked, so ask the staff at the shrine office if you're having trouble locating them, as they're central to the shrine's unique appeal and the legend of the rabbit that guided the deity to this location.
If you're praying for exam success or academic achievement, arrive before 4 p.m. to take advantage of the shrine's formal prayer services (祈祷), which are accepted until that time.
Grab one of the special rabbit-themed omamori (charms) or the cute 'usagi omikuji' (rabbit fortune) before leaving. These are specific to Uji Shrine and sell out during busy seasons, so don't assume you can pick them up on a return visit.

宇治駅から徒歩約10分（京阪宇治駅から、またはJR宇治駅から約15分）の短い散歩コースです。宇治橋からは川沿いの気持ちの良いルートで、帰りに朝霧橋を渡って景色を楽しむ参拝者も多くいます。
この神社は近くの観光地よりも静かなので、ゆったりとしたペースでお参りできます。主祭神は宇治の若郎子命で、境内には伊勢神宮と柏原神社の遥拝所があります。ウサギのモチーフがいたるところに見られ、特に拝殿の「みかえり兎」、手水舎、おみくじやお守りに描かれています。
