If you're doing the Tokyo Jinja Good Luck Tour, purchase the gold leaf folding book (1,200 yen) at Kamishinmei-tenso as your starting point, then collect stamps at the other seven participating shrines along the Toei Asakusa Line.
Auf einen Blick
The shrine was possibly founded in 1322 after a priest prayed for rain during a severe drought, successfully ending the disaster and prompting the local community to build this shrine in gratitude.
The shrine enshrines both white snakes and a dragon god together, a rare pairing in Japan based on a legend that the eighth white snake messenger transforms into an eight-meter white dragon.

Ausstattung
If you're doing the Tokyo Jinja Good Luck Tour, purchase the gold leaf folding book (1,200 yen) at Kamishinmei-tenso as your starting point, then collect stamps at the other seven participating shrines along the Toei Asakusa Line.
Arrive between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. when shrine attendants are present, as you'll need staff to stamp your visit if you're collecting stamps for the Tokyo Jinja Good Luck Tour or to answer questions about the coin-washing ritual.
Bring coins in small denominations (yen bills work too) to participate in zeniarai at the Hakuja Shimizu (White Snake Spring), where you wash your money for luck before returning it to your wallet so it will attract more money.
Take time to observe the hand-crafted statues of the seven white snakes and the eight-meter white dragon, which are distinct in character and tell the shrine's founding story.
