Emperor Chokei's tomb is located directly behind the main hall. The temple once housed a hall modeled after Kyoto's famous Sanjusangendo with 1,000 statues of Kannon enshrined inside.

这座寺庙与"金井"传说相关,这也是Konsen-ji("金泉寺")名称的由来。

The Daishi Hall contains a rare vermilion-colored statue of Kōbō Daishi, created after a fisherman lost at sea reported seeing the saint appear glowing red to guide him safely back to harbor.

除了四国88所灵场之外,Konsen-ji还是阿波西国33观音灵场的第23号札所,以及阿波北岭药师灵场的第9号札所。
