Renkeiji는 무로마치 시대에 창건된 가와고에 중심부의 정토 불교 사찰입니다. 한때 간토 지역의 18개 공식 정토 교육 기관 중 하나였으며, 동류당, 치유의 불상인 오빈즈루상, 그리고 고에도 가와고에 칠복신 순례길의 정거지인 후쿠로쿠주로 알려져 있습니다.
왜 가볼 만한가
- Arrive during reception hours (10:00-16:00) if you need assistance or want to make a formal prayer, though the temple grounds are open 24 hours and you can view the statues and architecture freely outside these times.
- Touch the bright red Obinzuru-sama statue in front of Donryu Hall by placing your hand on the same body part where you're experiencing discomfort, as locals believe this healing Buddha figure can cure illnesses when touched.
- Visit on the 8th of any month to experience Donryu Day, when the temple grounds fill with street performers, traditional storytelling (nankingtamasudaré), and flea markets, but expect significantly larger crowds than usual days.
