概要
When Kobo Daishi's mother finally entered the temple grounds, she cut off her own hair and dedicated it to the temple. That hair is still preserved and displayed in a small hall today.
Kobo Daishi carved a statue of himself and enshrined it here, declaring his wish to rid the world of troubles for less fortunate people. This self-carved statue is now the principal image in the Daishido hall.
