Ce sanctuaire est situé au sud-est du château de Himeji, avec l'accès principal par le sud. Vous pouvez le rejoindre facilement depuis la zone du château, et les terrains sont aménagés de manière ordonnée avec le bâtiment principal face à l'avant et le comptoir de cadeaux sur le côté ouest.
À l'intérieur, attendez-vous à un espace calme et bien entretenu qui semble beaucoup plus serein que la ville environnante et la zone du château. Les terrains sont spacieux, vous pouvez donc visiter à votre rythme sans vous presser. Plusieurs avis mentionnent une atmosphère solennelle, et début janvier, il y avait des décorations de lanternes pour un événement du Nouvel An.
