Shitenno-ji in Tsu is a Soto Zen temple said to have been founded by Prince Shotoku at Empress Suiko's wish. Rebuilt by the castle lord Oda Nobukane, it holds the grave of Dota Gozen, mother of Oda Nobunaga, and Important Cultural Property portraits of Todo Takatora and Prince Shotoku. Most halls burned in the 1945 air raid and the main hall was rebuilt after the war.
