Kodai-ji rewards a longer visit than most people expect. Beyond the main hall, the grounds include a Kobori Enshu-designed garden, a bamboo grove, historic teahouses, and a mausoleum, so budget at least 90 minutes if you want to see it properly.

Peaceful atmosphere. Great for a slow walk. Nice atmosphere. Worth the short walk. Quiet and calming. Enjoyed the visit. Good place to slow down. Lovely garden. Well kept and clean. Welcoming atmosphere
