概览
During the Three Mountains Rite, priests construct a 15-meter-tall artificial mountain from bamboo and cloth at the shrine entrance, topped with a miniature shrine and offerings of mochi.
The Single Mountain Rite honors Mt. Miya, believed to be the tomb of the deity Ōnamuchi-no-mikoto, and happens only once every 60 years (meaning most people see it once in a lifetime, if at all).
