Both the main hall and three-story pagoda are National Treasures, rebuilt after a devastating 1360 fire. The pagoda was reconstructed in 1400 and still features its original tiled roof.

The temple houses 28 Avatars of Kannon from the Kamakura period, but two went missing over the centuries. They've been replaced by statues of the wind god Fūjin and thunder god Raijin instead.
