設備・サービス
Admission to Hokoku Shrine is free, unlike the 600 yen fee for the castle museum, so you can spend time here without additional cost.
Visit Hokoku Shrine on a weekday morning before 10 a.m. to avoid the tour groups that flood Osaka Castle's grounds, giving you quiet time to appreciate the bronze statue of Toyotomi Hideyoshi and the Shuseki-tei stone garden without crowds.
The shrine sits on the south side of the castle keep within the outer moat, so plan your visit as part of a larger castle circuit rather than as a standalone stop.

Built in 1879 by imperial decree of Emperor Meiji, the shrine originally stood in Nakanoshima before being relocated to its current location inside Osaka Castle's park in 1961.
The shrine's stone garden, Shuseki-tei, features a ground pattern shaped like Hideyoshi's horse crest and represents a 'stone mountain' inspired by Osaka's development as a port city.
